Career Counselor, Executive Coach, Anna Ranieri

Anna Ranieri is a career counselor and executive coach. She practices primarily in Silicon Valley but also works with clients in other parts of the U.S. and the world. With an MBA in marketing, her own experiences in corporate and academic settings fueled her interest in the psychology of the workplace and how it is that people do, or don’t, work well together. Anna returned to school to earn a PhD in counseling and health psychology and has enjoyed working to help individuals and team members in their professional and personal development.


Anna is active in her private practice and as a presenter, teacher and writer. A lively and compelling speaker, she regularly presents to corporate and non-profit groups and teaches university level classes. She is the co-author of the book How Can I Help? What You Can (and Can’t) Do to Counsel a Friend, Colleague or Family Member With a Problem and is a featured expert in the Harvard Business Review’s Guide to Managing Conflict at Work.


Anna has contributed to written media, radio and television, including the New York Times’ Career Couch and the Wall Street Journal’s Lunch Break show. She has written several articles for the Harvard Business Review, available online. Anna has a bachelors’ degree from Yale University, an MBA from the Wharton School and a PhD from Stanford University.
