Position Overview

QinetiQ US is looking to hire an experienced Senior Hardware/Software Installation Technician to support development, integration, test and evaluation of aerial target systems, subsystems, and related equipment for the Threat Systems Management Office in Huntsville, AL.

Responsibilities
    Installation of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and Government off-the-shelf (GOTS) software and hardware that may serve as stand-alone devices or be integrated into aerial target systems or subsystems.
  • Installation of equipment the Contractor has produced, COTS/GOTS equipment the Contractor has acquired, or equipment manufactured by others and provided to the Contractor as Government Furnished Equipment (GFE).
  • Installation of software the Contractor has produced, or developed by others and provided to the Government as part of the aerial target system, subsystems or ground support equipment.
  • Technical support to repair/refurbish existing aerial target systems, subsystems, and related equipment to support aerial target operations.
  • Provide technical support to the Targets Systems Management Office. This support shall include any area of administrative, general, logistical or engineering to support and assist in the program management of aerial target programs.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in the procurement, delivery, and integration of commercial, non-commercial, hardware and software materials to support the development of government systems.
  • Experience supporting the development of aerial target systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proposal writing experience, the ability to convey technical designs, ideas and results to non-technical audiences and to provide briefings to high-level government personnel.
  • Experience acquiring both commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and Government off-the-shelf (GOTS) software and hardware components.
  • Active DOD Secret or higher clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • BS degree in Physics, Electrical, Mechanical, or other related Engineering discipline preferred.
