This summer internship at Dana Incorporated, Paris, TN will provide insight into the manufacturing process for the Tier 1 automotive manufacturing industry to the right candidate.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Support all communications and contacts with appropriate discipline concerning all processing issues (Product Design, Sales, Tool Shop, Production Plant, and Robotics) with guidance from supporting engineer
* Support molding and assembly of all prototypes
* Learn process for troubleshooting Thermoplastic and Thermoset molding to resolve problems
* Prepare reports on material processing, tooling problems, assembly problems, etc..
* SPC data collection and analysis
* Support the Dana Operating System (DOS)
Education and/or Experience:
* Currently enrolled in bachelor's degree in engineering
Requirements:
* Must be flexible about hours worked
* Must be able to stand and walk for 8-12 hours
* Willingness to attend training classes as needed/available
* Regular attendance is mandatory and must be on time for work
* Must practice good housekeeping
